I am considering getting a new camera, the old one is out of use.. The Canon PowerShot SD850 caught my eye, I noticed its review at

A decent deal the lowest price I can find for it is $225:

Has anyone had it? How it works?
I've always heard that Canon is the way to go. I would like to stay under $300. Any advice?? Thanks!

I had a Kodak DX7590 and LOVE it... but I use my Nikon D40 mostly now.
Try something like this |

I had my first Kodak digital camera 3 years ago. It has been good to me but now I am beyond frustrated with the long delay in between taking shots. I have missed so many "kodak moments" because of the delay. So I think it's time to get a Canon, which always has some good reviews. |

If speed is what you're after you really should consider getting a DSLR as opposed to point and shoot camera. SD850 shoots at 1.3 frames/second.
Most SLR's (on the cheaper end) can shoot 2.5-3 f/s
Why not consider something like Pentax K100D? It's a little more expensive but then again it's a DSLR and has built in shake reduction. |
