I keep viewing my entry again and again, no doubt it's not a great image, still it doesn't deserve that low...

I would post my score but it is just so darn high I don't want to scare anyone.....oh sorry I was just day dreaming again, never mind.
Anyway do you really think a score in the 5's will get a ribbon??

I left a bunch of ?'s and !'s as comments. And I still may leave a few more...

For those who care, don't be offended.

I'm finding the whole Challenge kind of funny. Certainly not one worth getting all worked up over.

Life's too short.

Cheers!

Well, my friend gave one of the photos 8... he thinks is a nice photo, and I think it is too. That one and maybe one other will make upper 6+. I don't think 7 will happen, but... I am shooting for 3rd 4th or 5th place. and that's aiming high LOL

My score is in striking range of the top score for the camera I used. I guess entering a small challenge with a 'small' camera isn't necessarily a bad thing every once in a while...

:-O In this challenge that looks like a mighty fine score mate!!!! Good job (damn it says something when I get excited about other people looking as if they are going to ribbon)

10 comments and a wonderful 5.7 score - really much better than I expected. I'm pleased.

THANK GOD only one day left for this misery... I think DPC should declare tomorrow's date as "Black Tuesday" and never EVER have a challenge like this again :P

Next year we look back to this day, remember the suffering and get goose bumps...

LOL

Drewmedia is a mess, as well. Street, Book and Drewmedia seem like free study nightmares. What's going on here?

T minus 11 hours. Really happy with the score (except the happy person that just gave me a 1).

The best part is that my wife really likes the shot and has asked me to make her a print for her office. How cool is that!?

That beats a score of any kind, any day! Congrats!

As I voted this challenge, I kept rechecking to make sure I was voting on the challenge I thought I was voting on. I guess I don't have a lot of room to talk since I entered nothing, but in my opinion the majority of images entered did not communicate street smarts. Many were not even close. I swear it was like voting on the wrong challenge. What happened?

Well, mine communicates "informal learning processes and simple, lived experience" rather than street smarts, because I am a chicken - bawk bawk. lol And my 3 commenters seemd to like the shot.

DPC should shun any future abstract ideas and stick w/ the obvious - photographic techniques and physical objects - like popcorn, pencils, bugs, or flowers. lol

Nah, the abstract/concept ideas are more interesting. They don't always work out well, but they're more interesting!

I don't know, but I think I like the "street smarts" challenge. It certainly is better than taking pictures of popcorn and pencils indoors.

I guess though if you live in a rural area it may be difficult to find something that's "street smart" to take a picture of. Street smarts is really an urban concept.
