1. I have submitted a few images to Stock image sites and few of them have got rejected for the following reasons ( the same were accepted by DPC prints though)

- We found this file over filtered from its original appearance/quality.

- This file contains artifacting when viewed at full size. This technical issue is commonly created by the quality settings in-camera, in post-processing or in RAWsettings. Artifacting may be the result of other factors such as excessive level adjustments.

I converted these files from raw using PS and saved as TIFF and then made 100% quality jpg's without any cropping. Since my PS skills are quite basic i did minimal editng to these. Can someone help me with the correct process of preparing the files.

2. Alamy mentions that the 'Uncompressed file sizes of between 48MB and 200MB. This means you should make your JPEG file from an 8 bit TIFF file that is at least 48MB.'

My raw files are generally 9-12 MB and when i save them as TIFF they are usually 20-30 MB. Do i have to re sample the image at a higher resolution to increase the size of the file? will it affect the image quality?

1. I know those quotes. I had some images rejected at iStock that are bestsellers at Shutterstock and vice versa. There's nothing you can really do about it, except not doing any processing (but your images may not look good then).

2. You have to resample your images to at least 48 MB - that's about 5100 pixels at the longer side, I do it with GenuineFractals, but "bicubic smoother" resampling in PS might also work. Or you can generate larger files during Raw conversion with Adobe CameraRaw 4.3 - conversion options are at the bottom of the window.
