Hello,

I had Mcaffe for 3 years. Renewed subscription in June. Still have 5 months on it. I deleted it from my laptop b/c I sold it. I have new computer that had 30 day trial. Trial is up. How can I transfer "ownership" of the update to my new computer?

I can't find any contact info on the Mcafee page. All it wants me to do is spend another 50 bucks or so to renew again?!?! I still have 5 months!

Is there any way around this?
edit:

found mcaffe chat site...

Thanks,

Kenny

If I remember right, you should have an account with all your purchases out on McAfee where you can update (re-download) the retail version.

I did redownload but it shows expired. On my Mcafee login page it shows I have til June 2008 left on my subscription.

Still waiting for reply from mcafee chat.

My solution is to avoid Norton and mcafee all together and get AVG Free it works just as well as as any others, the only exception is that theirs no live tech support. I have never need live tech support for any virus programs. It also updateds new definitions almost daily. just my thoughts.
