A shot someone got of me and my beergut doing some 'geology' with the 40D. :-D

Ten days in the dust, and I think my sensor stayed pretty clean. I did avoid swapping lenses as much as possible, though. And did a "sensor cleaning" after every swap. I mostly left the 24-70-L on. It has a rubber gasket where it meets the camera body.

Sorry :-(
I was working a lot, though... except for the day I spent in Zion Park, and the quick jaunt down to that canyon.

I didn't want to be snarky and reference the skull which is obviously a skull.

Kinda looks like a monkey skull. I have never seen a skull in the desert that looks like that. Maybe some sort of cat. Looks out of place to me.

Um, I could be wrong, but it looks remarkably like a Cactus, not really sure though because it could be a mirage...nope, that was a French Fighter aircraft??

Monkey skull? Huge eyesockets, proportionally.

What happens when the “experiments” on humans go haywire.

Given that the skull is so nicely shaped and intact, I'd call it a practical joke. =)

Personally, I was surprised I got through airport security with it in my carry-on so easily. I had to open up my camera bag for them, though.
Har har har har! I could probably hijak a plane more easily with a monkey skull than with a camera... REALLY! ;-D

Looks like a Phantom ring to me. :) Ghost who walks, man who cannot die. Listen, I hear jungle drums. I'll let Mr Walker know you found it, so don't be surprised when a full-grown man in a purple lycra suit comes knocking on your door.

Guess I got lucky, never had a problem with sensor dust in the last 2 years.. Love having moisture/dust proof lenses and body:)

That is the skull of a bigfoot infant. :) I am just sure of it in fact I will be sure to pass along all your information to several of the bigfoot groups who will certainly contact you day and night concerning your momentous find.

:) Ok not really, I have no idea, but I must say I find it a bit alarming that there is no body skeleton, just the head. Hmmmm, decapitated monkey??
