This is a bad time of day to post this, will bump later.
Anyway, I might be moving for work to anyone of those countries and wondering if anyone lives there and would like to give me some general info on costs of rent, eating etc...

I have neighbours moving to Switzerland after Xmas from the US but this site may help? I believe it is expensive there.

She said it cost something like $2000 USD per month to rent a basic 3 bedroom house with 1 bathroom in Geneva. Normally you have to buy your own fridge,freezer stove, oven.
Besides, a local will have better answers I'm sure.

I lived in Helsinki from 1998-2001, then Chicago until this summer when I moved back to Finland, so I have quite a lot of useful tips and hints, none of which I want to post in public.

depends on which city you are moving to...
I am living in Oslo
You can probably find an apartment for kr 5000-7000
I spend about kr 1500-2000 on food per month
a movie costs kr 80
hotdog at a gas station costs kr 35
high speed internet costs kr 400 / month
hope that gives you an idea
1 USD = 5.49451 NOK

I live in norway too, but 2-3 hours away from Oslo the capital city.
I think everything are a bit pricier in oslo. Atleast it cost more to get an apartment.
