I think a lot is about socialization. It's considered "ok" for gay men to explore their feminine side, even prized, where as not so much for straight men... |
This bear is proudly in touch with his feminine side :-)

As am I......
Don't even get me started on the terrible inequity in this modern world between men and women. |
oh yea don't even try. I did and got hammered into the ground and called names.
edit to add: on second thought DO try. It really must be discussed, just hopefully with more level headed people rather than the 2-3 that were in my thread just to start trouble.

Interesting. What process should we use to replace voting?

She said, "...actively pursue laws and actions against the homosexual community." Anti gay marriage laws drafted by elected officials are examples of such leglislation. Constitutional amendments are, too (amendments usually expand, and do not curtail, rights).
She is right in what she says. Elected officials have no business curtailing the rights of minorities. The constitution (at least in Canada as represented by the Charter) is meant to protect the rights of minorities; laws and referenda conjured up by politicians because of the expediancy of the moment will ultimately be checked. Replacing voting has nothing to do with it. |
