RE: Day One - "How did I get it to stay on"

Ray ( RayEthier) kindly pushed the button for me. I subsequently cloned his finger out to avoid him coming after me for royalties (He's a big guy and former RCMP and I don't need no trouble).

Thanks Ray!

Day 6

It's still gray, dreary, and cold but I decided if the surfer's can get out in it, I can photograph them.

OK, can you believe this, I get all excited about this water challenge, decide what shots to take first, then realize that my hubby is going hunting and taking the camera with him!!! We so need another camera! I haven't had a camera for 7 days!

Anyway, so I decide to resurrect my very first water drop pictures (WARNING: water drop pictures to follow, do not continue if you are tired of them :-) Anyway, whenever they get back, I hope to get some better water pics, but here you go in the meantime. Days 1-6

No need to comment on them, I know they are not the best, but I was pretty proud of them at the time. If anyone has any great tips for water drop pics, I would love to hear them!

Thanks for listening!

WriteHeart I would sure like to know how you got these. For color, use a red bowl? or ? Do you drop the water in from an eyedropper, or faucet? Or? and what lens, etc. to get that beautiful crispness. And how did you ever get that one to be so ROUND!
I've tried this technique, completely without success and would love to know your secrets if you're okay with writing them up.

Nov 7 - Abstract

I have been too tied up with work and getting ready to get off for 10 days in Mexico that I haven't had time to shoot much of anything all week. This one is from the same shoot as the last post. Hope that is ok with everyone.
Not edited except for sharpen. Love that S3 Fuji.
edit/Oh, forgot about the crop.

Very nice. I like the composition, the focus and the reflections. Looks like the perfect place to go kayaking.

I also really like the composition of this one. It seems like a very good place to continue to visit for photography opportunities during different seasons. I wonder how this would look in Black and white...
