| It's been bothering me for a while, what's nostalgia? for me it's a feeling. A feeling about something that I, myself have experienced it; music, smell, place, taste, situation... anything. maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know how many of you guys have experienced stuff from 1920's, 30's, or 40's. The most nostalgic things for me are those which remind me of my childhood or teenage yrs. how about you? |

To me, nostalgia is all those things you mentioned but it's also much more. It doesn't have to be something that reminds me of MY childhood or past, but something that just takes me back.... period. For instance, my entry was "1860's wagon wheel" which made me think of life as it was in that time. How did the people live? What did they do for fun? Did they have a hard life? All these things say "nostalgia" to me.
