I've been shooting many HDR images recently and an increasing number of them are turning out with the black dots below after processing in photomatix. Has anyone else had this problem or know what the cause of it is?

| I can't help you - I notice a LOT of color noise when I use Photomatix. Bear can probably tell you more - bump this when it's time for him to be up and about. |

i get those black dots mostly in the highlights after tone mapping.
could be dead pixels or an issue of overlapping many photos... |

Image is too small for me to figure out anything useful.

I think you get those when the images don't match exactly - if those are leaves in the picture you posted that would make sense, as they move slightly between different shots.
Do you get the same effect when you make an HDR from a single RAW file? |

If that's what it is, the current version of Photomatix Pro has a feature that is designed to eliminate those problems, if you check it off. That would be version 2.5.3, I believe; it's the one I have anyway. If you have a registered copy of Photomatix, you can update for free.
