I'm not sure how many people remember me, but I used to be around a lot and had to sell all my camera equipment and quit my job as an assistant manager at a large automotive service chain to pursue a dream of mine...that is, owning my own company. Well, things didn't necessarily work out the way I wanted them to for one reason or another, so I put out some resumes and just had an interview this week and got hired as the general manager at a store for another automotive chain.
So anyway, I'm going to be selling my used equipment for my business and raking in some bucks...so hopefully soon I'll be able to get another nice camera. Of course, this time, I think I should get my girlfriend that ring she's been wanting first.

I haven't taken a *real* picture in probably a year. It's like a part of me is missing. I used to head out on a Sunday to the park, wait for the lighting to be just right, and capture those moments. Lately my free time has been spent doing useless things that don't bring me much joy. Every time I see certain photos, I just miss it so much. So anyway, hopefully I'll be back in the game soon and hopefully I can take my motivation and create some wonderful photos that everyone else can enjoy as well, like some of the photos I see out on the web and here on this site. |

| Why buy a ring when you can get a camera and take a picture of a ring and give her that, it's the thought that counts, right? |

Great to hear you are comming back too us. I really enjoyed your photography when I was first starting on the site. Cant wait until you are back full force.

| Thanks everyone. Yeah...I definitely miss it a lot. Photography was something I really enjoyed doing and enjoyed sharing as well. Not sure how far away I am from getting something (d300 sounds sweet)...although the 5d always interested me as well. I'm sure something has replaced that by now...I plan on checking everything out...not sure which way I'll go. |

Nope, the 5D is still the 5D. Although there's a nice shiny new 1Ds mk3 to be had out there. :)

Good to see you around again, Deapee! Don't buy a really good camera, cos there are too many hogging the ribbons, without you doing the same:)
