Okay, any Heroes fans out there? I really love this show, I was hooked with the very first episode last season. I don't know why, but I can't stop watching it, but sometimes it feels like they don't put as much into making the show as they should. Tonights episode really drove me crazy. I felt like I was watching more commercials than I was actually watching the show. I started timing things at the end, because I was tired of it, and it was about 5 minutes of commercials for 7 minutes of show. I guess they are just taking advantage of all the millions of viewers by selling as much air time as possible. Anybody else frustrated with this? What can we even do to change it, aside from not watching it, but I like it so that isn't an option, besides it would take more than just me not watching it to change things.

While it may not actually DO anything, sending a message to the appropriate network will let them know how you feel. A short, polite note will help YOU feel better, and the network may even notice a problem after enough complaints...

I`ve never seen an advert during heroes.
I use utorrent.

But you also saw less heroes than normal last night, because of all the commercials, so it does have an impact.

That's TV for you. Unless they have a "limited commercial interruption, brought to you by..." and 3 of the same commercial in a row, a few times in the hour, you're stuck with it. Unless you pirate it, that is.
Product placements, now those I see as a problem. Sometime's it's unavoidable, but altering the dialogue even a little to plug some product annoys me. |
