I hate Canon and their stupid instant fall rebates. Look at my invoice from B & H! This is crazy! The internet is a dangerous place....

I'll donate you 10 bucks if you donate me that 70-200 Non-IS you are going to have lying around... :p

ETA: Jeez you get stuff cheap over there. That 70-200 IS is about $2220 over here in the UK alone.

I just sent you a check for $7,659.95 but I see that is $5k more than you needed. Go ahead and cash the check and just wire the $5k back to me. :)

I hear you, but I blame DPC more specifically, I read some threads about the 50mm 1.4 (same as one on your list), checked it out at BH and got impulsive and I ordered it. I've bought most of my lenses that way. Can't say I regret it though.

...I'll be looking for that wire transfer...

Abso-floggin'-lutely. B&H should pay DPC "motivational" fees.

Dude, for that much you might have sprung for the faster shipping ;)

I got $100 gift certificate to B&H. Took this girl to B&H to pick up a backpack for her camera. While she was looking at backpacks I thought "would't it be cool to shoot concert with 50 1.4 tonight". Walked out with Nikon 50 1.4. Not sure what happened to the girl.

Simular story.

We got married last week. Did she tell you her father was a rich internet robber-baron? Anyway, I've got my Nikon D3 on order along with the new lens for it. ;) (600mm F4, VRII)

No donations from here, but I also just purchased the 50 f1.4 and I love it! No comparison to the 50mm f1.8 that I had.

I delight in those photos in the extreme low light...

And, by the way, I am surprised that B&H doesn't offer DPC discounts:)

Hey, your spending the money. You should've gone all the way. You only got -$20 for that purchase, you could've had -$100 with the L version.

Nice job tho. You'll dig the 17-40. I'm certain you'll injoy the flagship monster you bought (70-200f2.8 IS). That's a beast, but a great lens (so I've heard).
