That's interesting, never noticed that area before. Also interesting that my 3 statistically favorite photographers are members I "don't even know" ... which is to say they must be infrequent posters in the forums.

At least 1, and often times, more, 10's per challenge. It's not about perfection, it's about best of show.

I try to think that way, but I just can̢۪t. I keep thinking if I give a really great image a 10 that it would be in some way in disparaging to some later greater image in my mind. I might be wrong, but I̢۪ve only given one 10 out of 18,251 votes.

I̢۪m not flip about it I take voting very seriously (probably too seriously) , and the only 1s I ever given out were to completely black or white images with no subject matter whatsoever.

I do spend a strange amount regretting not giving one particular image a 10. This oneâ€Â¦

It is my favorite DPC photo, and I wish I had given it a 10 (I gave it a 9).

I would like to know which are those photos.

I give out over 100 10's and
the votes casts 34,812
avg vote cast 6.5543
10/25/2007 02:50:08 PM · #33
82 tens
6,763 votes cast
10/25/2007 03:01:07 PM · #34
8700 votes and I've given 51 tens.
10/25/2007 03:12:24 PM · #35
Question: How does one go about determining the different votes? I have 100 ten votes shown, but considering that I have in excess of 100K votes I would think the number would be higher.

I would also like to add that the only number I see are the ten votes and nothing else... am I doing something wrong?

Please PM me you comments as I do not wish to clutter this thread with this question.

Thank you.

Ray

One of our members kindly sent me the following via PM:

************

I saw your post in the 10's count thread. Actually, you've given more than 200 10's. For your reference, here's your voting pattern:

1 31
2 23
3 1046
4 18657
5 28403
6 12846
7 1836
8 826
9 361
10 209

I've always thought it would be great to see this distribution in people's profiles. Curious what you think about that.

*************

My answer to him is "I'd love to see that feature!"

I don't know how he derived the stats, how difficult it is, so I am not mentioning his name here. If he sees this and wants to do it for others, I'm sure he'll chime in :-)

Fascinating! I would love to know what my voting pattern is and/or how to determine it.

I hope your mystery member shares with us all!

I have given 4 10s in approx 3300 votes. To me, a 10 means perfect, and that's pretty hard to reach

Thank you ever so much for that information Robert... I too would love to see that feature being made available.

Perhaps your benefactor could enlighten us as to whether this feature is something that could be readily implemented.
