This whole DSLR thing and the lenses, When I first said, Yes, Its time to get a DSLR, I said 'I'll only need a nice wide angle' So I did get just that.

Then came along the 70-300 for longer shots
then came the 17-50 to 'fill the gap'
Yesterday the 50mm 1.8 because they are 'cheap' & fast

I should be happy but I cant get the idea of a nice long macro out of my head.

All with in a few months.

if you add them to the sb800 flash, the colkin filters, the bag/s, new tripod & monopod, new cables, etc its kinda expensive already now I 'need' a second battery, another flash card, and the battery grip looks tempting too.

Sigh, good thing I work for a living

anyone else fall in this pit?

Go prime lenses, they are faster, sharper and cheaper and give ya a chance to buy more.

ROFL. We've made almost identical choices, albeit not in the same order. I find they suit my needs quite well. However, I keep thinking about selling the 17-50 and picking up the 28-75 to better fill between the 10-20 and the 70-200. But for now, I keep using the 17 end, so I think I'll just stay where I am.

Don't think of it as addictive - think of it as 'personal growth' - SMILE!

i remember buying my 350 last year and saying to my husband.. wow I will never need anything else ever. I had that and the kit lens and one memory card (256mg) LOL... What I need to do is stop looking at sites that sell stuff

I started with a Fuji S5200. Now I have a BestBuy Point and Click. Best decision I ever made.

Cant put a price on passion

Here's the plan you should follow:

1) buy every lens you think you will ever need
2) buy about 20 lenses you'll never need
3) buy two backup bodies
4) get upset with Nikon and switch over to Canon

The first step is admitting it.

...the second step is getting out your credit card.

The question is ... at what point do you tell your wife?!?

I am confining myself to only buy lenses that I can finance from my microstock earnings.

So I dont't have to explain anything to the wife ;)
