I realize I've only been here a short while, but I'm just a tad disappointed at the voting totals. Case in point, the PoV II challenge. 249 submissions, and the Blue Ribbon received only 162 votes. Oldbies, has this historically been the case? Do some of you feel it's impolite to vote and comment on a challenge in which you've decided to participate? I would think there should be AT LEAST a 1:1 submission/vote total. I understand that member challenges are slightly different, in that non-members cannot either vote or submit, but this was an open challenge...what's up, people? This site is what you make it, and you can't just leave the voting requirement to the next person.

| i know what you mean but there isn't much philosophy here ... it's just the way it is and we all should accept it, i guess some people have more time on their hands than others.... |

People have certain self-made rules and one is to not vote in the challenges they enter.. I can't pretend to understand that concept but that's the way it goes..

I'd love to see a vote breakdown based on tenure. My theory is newbies vote and veterans don't. When you first sign up everything is new so you tend to vote a lot. Once you've been around for a while the newness fades and you start voting less and less. This site is constantly growing so one would think the average votes received would be on the up and up even when you factor in people who leave yet that's not happening but number of entries keeps going up because well veterans keep entering.
