You can make money doing that?? Is there software that prints numbers in different areas of the image that are associated with colors? Cuz then even I could do it! :)

Remember - photography is a luxury item - no one needs it. Luxury items by definition are not cheap.

I like that. It's very true. ;)

Thanks for the advice, and the many points that have been touched on. You've all been very helpful. I picked a price, above what I would usually pick, because I feel I am worth it. So thank you for that, everyone. :)

I told him I would do it for $175. This was more than I had originally planned on asking for, which was $100. I'm happy with this price, and hopefully it's lower than other quotes he may have gotten. :)

Sorry for the hijack, Magen - I almost never do that. :/ Fingers crossed that he takes your offer and I am interested in more details about what it is exactly this guy is doing.

Maybe he'll take your picture, run it through an action that makes it look like an oil painting and sell it back to them for $5000.

Say, that's not a bad idea...

something no one mentioned was that if he just wanted a few snapshots he could have bought a throw-away camera for 10.00 and had it developed for 10.00 and had what he would have needed--seems to me he is really looking for someone to create the picture for him just to paint!?

The wife doesn't understand that getting in the hot tub with chicks is a job requirement? ;-)

It hasn't worked so far in getting the, umm, freedom, to take 'art shots' (aka nudes)
