What is the exact text of the error you are receiving, and how large is the file you are trying to upload?

The file size is 4 mb. Not really any larger than the others I have uploaded. The message I get is like I have lost my internet connection, It goes to the page and says my connection was lost. I hit the refresh button, and it goes to the dpchallenge home page, and a red message at the top tells me my files were not uploaded. |

Can you get me the exact text of each error you are getting?
Thanks,

Holy cow. No need to upload such a large file. Use that "save for web function.

Wow! Are you uploading for prints or something?? That's a big file. Mine aren't usually larger then 180kb at the most, unless of course it's a print. |

Terry,
I cut the file size down to 2.39m
b, browsed and uploaded. The status bar went until it said 100%. I then got this screen: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
More information
I hit refresh, I was taken back to the home page, and in red, was told a file I tried to upload, did not complete. No file was uploaded.
This has happened on 10 different photos.???

Have you tried uploading the files to another website?

Something is timing out somewhere. If you can upload to a site such as flickr... we can narrow it down to possibly being DPC's server.

Have you tried rebooting...emptying cookies/temporary files etc...give your machine a bit of a boost and then retry. Also...silly question...but I will ask anyway...have you uploaded large files to DPC before...just trying to eliminate whether it is a new problem or an existing one that was just unnoticed until now.

Judi,
Not silly. I have always uploaded my original files. Only because I really am too lazy to take the time to resize them. I have never had a problem before. I have also turned my computer off, shut everything down and tried...no luck The only thing I have not tried is a different computer. Only because this one is brand new, and I had no issues uploading to my smugmug site from here.

Can you get someone else to try using your images. Example...someone using a different server?

Send a couple of them to me and I will try and upload them to my account and we will see if they get there. Don't worry...I will delete them straight away...! Just try and keep them under 7mb each per email.

The reason I am suggesting this is yesterday another DPC member (a fellow Emerald resident) had issues accessing one of my tutorials on my site. It kept timing out half way through. And yet she could access it freely on DPC. She uses a different server to me.
I had no issues on either. I use a different server to her.
Now this is similiar to you. You can access this facility on another site but not on DPC. If I can access DPC with your images then it could mean an issue with your server or similiar. Does that make sense.
