The beast was born in a small village in Botswana, one of a litter from a malnourished Tswana Brown bitch, who had the usual painted colouring of varying splodges of black, tan and white. He was bought by a friend for P10 and given to me. He was the only one of his litter to survive parvovirus.

When we returned to Canada, there was no question of the Beast staying in Botswana. So, we crated him up, and brought him to land of snow. Little did we know. Two days after arriving in Canada, a snowstorm hit that dumped over 3 feet of snow in under two days. The Beast was very confused.

Now he's recovering from a badly broken leg, and driving aus all crazy with his housebound frustration. he's run free for 10 years, and isn't enjoying being stuck inside for over 2 months.

Introducing Retro Dog Minogue

This angel is my unexpected LOVE!

We decided to add a dog to our family in May last year for the 'children'. I had absolutely NO expectation that I would 'feel' very much for it at all.

And then he was placed in my arms and at that moment his heart and mine connected with an unbreakable thread of PURE LOVE.

He is the most AMAZING dog - he 'fits' us in every way and I simply ADORE the love he's brought to my heart!

Jules says "Hi" to everyone, loves kids, asks for water or food and says thank you when he gets it, and he calls me "Papa." He's a sweetheart. We have a small zoo here, so it's hard to pick just one. They are like children, and each is different. The chickens are at the bottom of the ladder.

My kitty Luna a.k.a "Luna Azul" which means Blue Moon in spanish. I found her and her 2 brothers in my grandma's backyard when they were around 5 weeks old. I raised them and then gave the boys away and kept Luna. I'm 90% sure they were inbred because her parents definitely looked like brother and sister and the adults (5 of them) all kept together in the same pack. However aside from being a bit cross-eyes and super clumsy, she is just fine.

another special pet of mine, Buddy. He is very human-like in his emotions and also very motherly as he raised the kittens I brought home. He gave them baths, cuddled up to them, and played with them...it was super cute.

This is my 14 year old girl. She is starting to slow down FAST :(

and this is our 7 year old rescue dog who has made me a fair bit of money on the stock sites :)

and this is the two of them playing. This sometimes scares people who don't realize it's a game! :P
