I thought it might be nice to share some fall colors pictures amongst the crew here at DPC. It might be fun for others to share a few of their images of the annual fall event.
What have you taken? Share them here!
Here is a collection of photos taken this past weekend in the Ascutney Mountain area near Windsor and Brownsville. We went to Vermont to relax and enjoy the rural sights, sounds, and people. It was a great weekend and the colors were just getting near peak.
I would also love any comments and suggestions about processing and improvements on these!

We have been on the road for 2 days going from Shreveport, LA to Newport, RI and happened to have an opportunity to stop and shoot this one. The colors seem to be a bit late coming through VA, PA, and NY.
Hope to post more later, especially when we are traveling back home next weekend. |

I was at Mont Tremblant (north of Montreal) a couple of weeks ago, even entered one of the shots in the Soft Focus III challenge.
Did this one in RAW and tonemapped through Photomatix:
The colours are very late this year. Hardly any change where I live, whereas normally we'd be in the peak right about now. |

Could you do me a favor? Could you contact your congresspeople and other officials and see if they can delay the peak for another week and a half? I'm planning a whirlwind New England tour the weekend of October 19-21, so see whatcha can do about that :) |

I gave my congressional representative a call and you may luck out...The colors in Southern Vermont are at least a week away - so my guess is that the Berkshires will be pretty colorful for you right around this time.
If you notice my pictures - there is still a lot of green to turn and this is 60 miles up in Vermont

Around that time it should be peaking in New York in the Catskills area. Lots of photo ops there.

I'm hoping our drought doesn't deaden our colors too much. Seems like we're losing a lot of leaves before they are changing much. Lots of brown. |

Here are a few 2007 fliage shots taken in VT and NH. The colors are strong in the north and approaching peak in the central part of the states. It seems a little late this year.
Added one more

Awesome stuff Del! I especially like the photos of the train in Conway and of the Mount Washington Hotel - one of my favorite areas in the country. I sure wish I could have got up a little further north this past weekend... |

bassbone, left you some comments! I grew up in Vermont, so seeing these was nice, and made me a little homesick. Autumn is the best time to be up there, looks like you had a good time.

A few from today. It was cloudy, foggy at times and the colors were spectacular.

Lovely images, guys. I miss colors - but don't miss the weather. In Florida if it isn't green, its dead... so not a lot of seasonal color to capture. I definitely enjoy yours though, please keep posting. :)

New York and Pennsylvania aren't technically New England, but hopefully they're close enough! Here's a few from my recent outings:
