Have you updated Adobe Camera RAW? Version 4.2 is the latest, I believe.

Support for the 1DMkIII was added in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) v4.1. The current version, as stated above, is v4.2.
The problem for you is that ACR v4 and above only works with Photoshop CS3. Photoshop CS2 ACR support stopped at v3.7. That means that you can't open 1DMkIII files directly using CS2.
If you don't want to upgrade to CS3, you can download the DNG converter (which is free and the latest version works with CS2), and use it to convert your 1DMkIII RAW files to DNGs, then open the DNG in CS2. |

However... ACR 4.2 is a really nice upgrade. It's the same "engine" that is in Lightroom 1.1. You might want to consider springing for the upgrade to CS3 just for that feature alone (although there are other features that I think make CS3 a good upgrade).
