I'm hopin' someone can help me make this pic more powerful. This is what I'd like to do....Make second reflection of Tiger go away, make window background darker (less contrast?), make primary reflection stronger, without degrading the image of the cat looking outside! Please play with it and LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO WHAT YOU DO!!!

Thanks in advance

A polarizer during capture would help a bit with the reflections.

But wouldn't that remove both reflections??? I wanna highlight the primary one and remove the second one. This was takin' with the cat looking out of a double pane window.

First, I would clone out the second, unwanted reflection. Then I would select the colors or tones you want to change and either lighten them or darken them. You can select with the magic wand (in Photoshop) or the Replace Color tool. You can also go to Selective color and select the whites or neutrals or blacks and make them whiter or darker or whatever.

Good luck!

took about 10-15 mins i did what they said above, mostly
whitened the cat fur in photoshop with the levels and dropper tool
used magnetic lasso to highlight unwanted shadow and did an edit fill with the right color and then cloned out the shadow you didn't want in
forgot to sharpen it though and maybe the border is a bit much
also increased saturation a tad
did this in photoshop 7 was fun

I might like this one better.......

Hi Ron,

You can use a simple path to remove the unwanted portion. (Pen tool)

Too Cool, what a beauty your Tiger is. Nice capture. I like what Joh Lucas did to improve it.
I just love seeing such cooperation among our members. :-)

Here is a pic of my Suma.
Here are more pictures of petsfor those of you who enjoy pet pictures.

Ron,
Here's my take on it...

Steps were:
1.) Quick mask over second reflection
2.) select/inverse
3.) adjust curves to darken second reflection
4.) clone out bright points reflected in window
5.) dodge to bring up brightness of first reflection
6.) burn along edge of reflection to tweak the appearance of the edge
7.) adjust curves to optimize brightness & contrast
8.) adjust curves to slightly warm image
9.) unsharp mask, 0.8px radius, 4 threshold, amount 50%

Total time, about 7-8 minutes.

Kirbic, I really like what you did with it. It didn't affect the primary reflection so much! Thanks for the details on what ya did (photoshop 7???) Now I gotta figure out what it all means :-P

Thanks EVERYONE who gave it a shot!
