'Reporters Without Borders' have just published the rankings for the 'Worldwide Press Freedom' index.

Iceland are number 1. Ireland makes it in at number 8. The UK is 24th.

And the US is at... ... number 48, just below Nicaragua.

Freedom eh?

I'm surprised that it is as high as 48th considering how over 90% of the news is controlled by less than 10 corporations.
