WOW! great idea! I'd love to give this a try as I have a tendency to walk out of a location after only a few shots. Sticking to one should result in pictures I am missing. Count me in! |

Yep -- it'll be called something like October Walkabout Posting Thread, and I'll post a link in this thread just to make sure everyone finds it.
Added you all in! Looking forward to the walkabout ... my 18-250 just arrived yesterday, so not sure I'm gonna be able to stick with my own optional rule for this one! |

Are special dispensations from King Walkabout allowed for a different day? If not...I will find a way to deal with it. |
lol ... too funny title. We set this up so hopefully work won't get in the way ... just start your walk from your workplace if you can! An hour during a lunch break or before/after work can be a wonderful time for a short walkabout, and maybe a time to clear your work from work. Finding images where/when you least expect them is the whole point of the exercise, and leaving from work could be a great opportunity to do that. Hope you can find a way to join us. |
They feed us during our 30 minute lunch so we are captive...but I will plan on arriving early. Should be interesting since this will be a new work location and a prime candidate for exploring the surrounding area.

I plan on doing this one, but seeing as how I'm flying to a different country on Saturday, I won't be anywhere familiar, so you'll get what I see when I get there! (And I thought I'd already signed up, but apparently I just thought about signing up... kinda like when my computer is supposed to know what I'm thinking, not what I'm telling it to do??) |

Just checked the forecast. Partly cloudy tomorrow with only 10% chance of rain. Sunday - Sunny! Should be a nice morning for a walkabout.

Wasn't sure I was going to be able to join you until the last minute. Now it's the last minute and I'm in. Hoping the weather will cooperate, though. We're supposed to have a rather wet weekend. I'll see what happens. |

I can't waite for tomorrow. I'm also taking a workshop on pohotshop and hopefully I'll be able to remember the tips etc and use them in the edit. :-} The bad news is that my 18-200vr is in the shop and that is the lenses I wanted to use. Oh well I have a few more to use so I'll pick another, maybe even the 50mm. |

I'm so in. I actually had this same idea just this week before seeing this thread, wanted to start doing it as a every other day type thing in the mornings to give myself motivation to get my lazy ass out of bed before noon. |

Great to see some more old and new faces (and feet!) added to the mix. I'm looking forward to it too ... though with the current weather report looks like a Sunday walkabout for me.
And a reminder (since we've turned the page) that the posting thread is here.
