Ottawa (and environs) GTG? - DPChallenge Forums

Ottawa is no longer the staid, boring gov't town it once was, and is now a very vibrant city. Having said that, I certainly don't think we need to restrict ourselves to just urban Ottawa - the outermost skirts of Ottawa brush up against Kemptville, and still includes a sizable greenbelt.

Anyone interested?

How about a day on the weekend of Nov 3/4? I'm ok either day.

Where should we go? it will likley be a rainy and cold-ish day at that time of year.

Hi all

Sorry I've been AWOL recently and nowhere near a comp for the last little bit - been moving etc!

I agree with Shaman, weekend of 3/4 November works well for me too.

In terms of where to shoot, I guess we can start by anticipating wet conditions and just make the most of it if it isn't raining. So I suppose we should be thinking where we want to shoot...do we want to shoot in Ottawa, ie downtown, or more out in the countryside?

The weekend of the November 3rd and 4th you say... SORRY, but I am flying out to Seattle to meet with folks hosting the GTG there.

Hmm...and I've just been asked to farmsit that weekend, too, so I'm literally stuck on the farm!

How about the following weekend, I guess that'd be the 10/11 Nov?...wait, the 11th is Remembrance Day...then there's the following weekend which should work for me.

How does that work for others?

The weekend of Nov 17/18 should be good for me. Maybe there will even be some christmas lights up by then.

How about Arboretum / Canal / Experimental Farm area ?

looks like i'm ONLY available in the morning of the 17th

but failing that come to my opening !! on Monday Nov 19th 6pm - 9pm !!

& have a view of some of my images !!

or if any of you Ottawaians get a chance go to Henrys Imaging show on the 16th-18th & see one of my pictures (vote ??) as a finalist in the contest !!

Wow, Ralph, good for you - and Mondays generally are quiet for me so maybe I can toodle on down and see your opening!

the opening is on from 6pm -9pm (I'll likely be there from 5:30-9:30ish ;)

They are handing out Complementary tickets for the asking ..(for now !!)

going to try to drop in there a couple times that weekend ..

I just got word - I'm in another Juried show !! down in Chatham - Thames Gallery !!
