I am traveling to Bali in just a few days and time to pack! I had a question about gettin converters for power and any advice/tips. I will have to probably pick this up at Fry's. Do I need a transformer converter or just adapter plugs. This is for US power to Bali. Also could I bring a six plug surge protector and plug that into the converter so I can use more plugs? It will mostly be used for charging batteries and maybe a laptop. Thx for the help.

Can't answer it's been 20+ years since I last went to Bali - but tell me dear man - are you going to hang out with librodo?
If so I am GREEN with envy and will be desperately waiting to see your images!
Have a blast.

Check your battery charger and laptop. They're probably dual voltage so a plug adapter is all you need. You can then plug your power bar into the adapter plug (just make sure you get one that allows three prongs).

Electrical current in Bali is 220 volts at 50 cycles.
Most electrical plugs are set to take a two-pin plug. Purchase an international adapter or ask your hotel to lend you one.
Like someone else said look to see if your electrical things say something like 110 ~ 220. If they do all you need is an adapter.
....and I thought the topic was about the government in Bali atm |

Thanks everyone, I got a bunch of plugs that came in a set, I am pretty sure I got the right one and all of my chargers are set up for power from 100-240 volts so I don't need a transformer, going to take a surge prtoector so I can use more plugs. And Les, I got two of them all just to be safe. :) |
