Putting this together with the thread about the guy who takes pictures in India by hanging his camera from a kite seems to present all sorts of possibilities.
How many flies to lift a 5D do you think? ;) |

Only one - but boy is it a big one . .
If it comes back for the rest of your kit just hand it over quietly to avoid any trouble :- ) |

I'm of the camp that believes it is not possible to be "cruel" to insects, because they have neither consciousness nor a nervous system that understands pain...
I'm probably in a minority here though :-) And NO, I do NOT mutilate insects in my spare time :-)

ROFLMAO...am I the only one that thought the last instruction was going to be "light the match"? lol
a little bit off subject...
We used to take a match and wrap the tip in tin foil then shove a needle down into it to make a very small hole, then place just the head on the stove burner and turn it on. When lit, the match would shoot out of the time foil like a missile lol. You had to get the tin foil wrapped just right but was funny when you did. |

Oh, thanks for reminding me about this! I've had the instructions tucked away for so long I'd forgotten all about 'em :)
Hmm... but now I can't use it, cuz it wouldn't be original any more... gee, thanks! |

Make me think...If you glue one fly on the end of one wind facing backwards would it fly in an arc? Or would it flustrate the other flies |

Oh man, I could think of ways to market that to toy stores. Flies can only fly if their feet aren't touching anything though, it's an involuntary thing- when you see a fly flying, all does is lift up it's feet, and it's nervous system takes care of the actual flight.

What, that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.
You have to attach them to special fly tethers, so they are free to fly around in their harness, but so they can still carry the little fly plane. |

I am sorry to say that in my opinion, even though DRACHOO is an accomplished and talented photographer, the better choice to pull off this effect, and it is an effect, is SCALVERT

If you substatuted Wasps for the flies, I bet you would have the equivalent of a jet versus the prop job. And just think, it would have stinger missles onboard as well. :D
And if you used June Beetles you would have the equivalent of a Russian Bomber. :D

But Shannon has no experience gluing bugs to objects. It's not as easy as you think. |

I'm pretty sure he has experience gluing his kids together so he may be better prepared than you think! |

It's really not that big of a deal if they're dead.
