So I finally made up my mind and picked up a Sigma 30mm f/1.4...

So far I like it a lot, though the focus seems a little dodgy at about 10-15 feet, however, stopping down to about f/2 seems to clear up the problem. Turns out there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using such a large aperture lens.

Anyway, heres some pics.

The last one was actually taken by my sister while we were driving down the road.

Thanks! the "nifty fifty" was my first fast prime, then I got the 85mm f/1.8, and now I have this one.

Nice... I am thinking about dropping the 50f1.4 for the 30mm but I also want to move to FF so tough call.

Yeah, I was debating whether or not to buy the sigma.
I had decided not to buy it to start with because I want to go full frame, but then I realized that a FF camera was still a ways off. So I bought the Sigma and figured that I can always sell it for the 50mm f/1.4 when (or if) I ever move to FF.
