I discovered this the other day. I was looking for those floppy foldable shades for my car's front windows to shade the inside while it's parked. If found a set that colaps on itself for $10.
After I bought them, the thought occured to me that these are just like my photo reflectors that also fold up.
So for $10, you get 2 silver reflectors. Granted, they're not as durable as my photo reflector, but it'll work.
Anyone else notice this?

I've kept a pair of them around for ages. They're smaller than my regular reflectors, so easier to use in windy conditions. Also handy for traveling with.

A couple summers ago, I was interviewed for a TV show on the HGTV network, and the cameraman literally used a piece of cardboard with some crumpled aluminum foil on it. Which probably explains why I was squinting through the interview... |

Me too -- though I use them more often as a windshield sunscreen than as photo-reflectors ... got them a couple of years ago at Costco. |

yeah I have wanted to pick so up for a long time but just never did it but a couple weeks ago my wife and her friend were shooting senior pictures for a friend so I made a special stop on the way and picked up a pair.
At first they didn't understand what they were for but when I held it up and blocked the terrible light and shadows, on the girls face from the sun coming through the leaves, they quickly understood and I think liked it. I tried to show her how to use the reflective side too but since the light wasn't very bright and she couldn't see what I was trying to show her, she lost interest very fast and walked away...oh well lol.
I've also wanted to try the tin foil trick but again just haven't done it.

I've got a few of them. They aren't quite as efficient as real photo reflectors, but for the price, they don't have to be.
