He dropped his camera on the ground?!?!? Obviously this guy needs a lesson in prioirties. very cool though. less impressive he was able to catch the guy and more so that he held him there. I'm sure the guy was actively fighting him. Hopefully he didn't get hurt much.

"Russ ran after him, his camera flew to the ground, and he tackled
him," Higgins said."

Yeah, I noticed that too. Not a bad capture :)! I would guess the jump off of a 3-story balcony, followed by a jump off of a garage roof probably slowed the guy down a little. I would have tried to hold my camera and tackle the guy at the same time. Great POV shot WHILE you are holding the guy down. Pulitzer material for sure! |

So much for journalistic morals and staying neurtral and not getting involved in your story. What a putz! Now we'll lose all credibility with the bad guys and won't be able to have our free criminal access to cover cool stories. Way to go RUSS!!!!
Just kidding everybody so don't start bashing me. |

In the video he says he laid his camera down "gently". Great action shots!

"He took off running...at a full spring...over the railing like Superman...like Spiderman...then he jumped from that roof to the ground, like a cat"
I think Higgins watches a little too much TV. LOL.

Yeah, but I thought Superman flies head first not feet first. :) |
