I'd just like to call to the front the people that are absolutely stellar for us on any given day who think up, run, and maintain the various side challenges.projects that help make us all better photographers, bring out the best in us, have us all get to know each other better, and in general, help make DPC a more fun and better place.
I would suggest that to participate here, if you have something that really worked for you outside the "normal" DPC parameters of a straight-up challenge, such as Posthumous Ribbons, Sneezy Awards, et al, list 'em and give a hearty "THANK YOU"!
I'll start.....I'm a proud member of Team Suck, sub-team, Team Entropy, I've received an OOBIE, I've been a Boring Mediocre Champion, I have learned not only *not* to be scared of B&W, but so far a B&W shot of mine is my highest scoring Free Study due to two separate B&W side projects, I not only have discovered that I have a thing for flowers, but I now have an amazing repertoire of lilies in my Flora collection, I discovered through my Ordinary Things participation that I have a thing for old windows......the list goes on.
I'm learning about light in the Quality of Light side Challenge.....something I desperately need work with.
I'd also like to particularly call out as far as a really gutsy move would be on the part of  Melethia.
She organized a Free Study commenting challenge that she challenged us to not only vote 20%, but to *comment* 20% so that based on the random selection that they pop up for the voters, it ensures that folk'll all get comments.
What a great idea!
Except that it's a LOT of work! LOL!!!
