I purchased a lens through Amazon through one of their sellers (QulaityPhoto1). Has anyone purchased anything from them. I was just wondering if they are reputable. I figured if it was through Amazon, it should be pretty safe.

Amazon is just a place where they can advertise their stuff. Don't take the fact that they sell on the amazon website as proof that they're trustworthy.

I disagree. Amazon takes their reputation VERY seriously and would not knowingly take on as a partner anyone who was any less customer oriented then they are.

I bought my 70-200 through Amazon back in the day. I don't remember who the partner was, if there was one. However, I have bought from Amazon many, many times, and have never been disappointed with them or any of their partners.

Was it an Amazon Partner or someone in the Amazon Marketplace? Marketplace is more of a classified ads section and probably not as tightly watched as their parteners would be.

I often see 17th street photo as the main seller of their photo stuff, only photo related thing I have got from amazon was the canon backpack, no problems--

The rest of my stuff I get from buydig.com, they seem to have the best prices usually and the shipping is prompt, I love that place!

True. The Amazon Marketplace is a competitor to eBay. Regular folks buying and selling stuff. People are only as good as their ratings. Buyer beware.

Isn't it a little late to be asking AFTER you buy it? ;)

I was about to start a thread on reputable sellers - besides Adorama (which I am not entirely satisfied with) and B&H. Are those two owned by the same company/people?

List away as I am making my final shopping list. Insurance check should be here tomorrow!!!
