Please any advice or comments would be great... i'm a true newbie to this... and would love some advice

The first one has potential, if you cropped tighter and leveled the horizon.

For some reason I like the shoe :) But centered compositions are very often stilted and less interesting. I'd suggest trying it with some cropped off right and bottom, to draw the shoe down to the lower third intersection.
The angel statue I'd try the same; cropping the negative space to the right.

Basically, they're not bad, not bad at all :) Worth working with!

The shoe shot is the only keeper, and would be good for practicing what you go and read about compositional guidelines.
