Hi all,
Just curious about this..
I'm using a Canon G2 with a 430EZ flash..
Pretty stright forward.. A Canon will use a flash with a canon mount.
For a Nikon, we'll probrably use the SB 28 or a flash with a nikon mount..
As for Minolta.. it'll be a flash with a minolta mount..
But.. What about the Sonys and Fujis???
Can a canon or nikon flash fit?? Or.. what sort of flash would they need to buy?
:o)
Thanks..
Regards,

My Sony has a standard Hot shoe mount, so you can use just about any hot-shoe commercial flash. I think there is also a sony proprietary flash, but it's mostly for the CD250 and 300 that don't have the hot shoe capability.

I know cannon makes flashes with a hot shoe mount. I know the G3 has a hot shoe mount, so anything that would fit on it would fit on my sony. I'm not sure about the G2, though the picture of your camera here on DPC looks like it has a hot shoe. The maker of the flash is not the important thing for making it fit - it's the hot shoe. Not all sony's have it, of course. |

Sounds logical..
In theory.. it should work right?
Think I'll pop by the camera shop tonight with the flash to try it out..
