If I download an action how do I get it into photoshop?

There will be a folder within the photoshop folder you can copy or drag in to there. The next time you start photoshop it will be ready to use.

Sorry, not true. You'll still have to load it into PS after you drag it to the plugins folder. To do that look for the TINY arrow beside the word actions on the actions toolbar, click that & you'll get a dropdown. Choose Load, and browse to your action. Now it will work. :)

Once you've loaded the action and see it in the list of actions you're ready to roll. Open a pic, select the action, then click the little RUN button (another lil arrow) at the bottom of the actions toolbar. My version of Midnight Sepia runs straight through, but some stop and tell you to do something, do what it says then click play again until its finished.

OK thanks to Cindi who got me going on this. Is there a different way to get your plug ins ( I assume they are different to actions ) on photoshop?

Plugins just need to be dropped into the Plugins folder & they will show in the effects list. You might have to restart PS to get them to show up. :)
