Hi,
One of my cards crashed and it would not show me any images. I did a card recovery and the software recovered the files as 0001raw.tif (I shot everything raw)
I can't open the files at all and I can only see them if I change the extention to 0001raw.cr2 and view in canon's digital photo pro.....I can't resave or do anything with the images. I have been on the phone all day between canon and sandisk trying to solve the problem but no luck so far.
Has anyone had this happen or have a suggestion/solution?
Trying to stay calm..........

which program did you use? I used zero assumption recovery program and was able to recover the photos and open the raw files with cs2 using a Nikon camera. I believe they said they were tif files but opened up in ACR program and open them up. It is worth a shot maybe. Have you tried right clicking on the image and choose Open with Adobe Photoshop. That is probably all the suggestions I can think of. good luck. |

I tried to use the zero assumption when I needed to recover some pictures. I used //www.cardrecovery.com/rdownload.asp and it worked for me. They let you download the program to see if it works, but you wont be able to save the program until you actually purchase the program. I think it was around $40, but it worked for me. Good luck! |

The best website for FREE programs:
//www.snapfiles.com
Click Freeware............under System Utilities will be Data Recovery Tools.
From there find "PC Inspector Smart Recovery " or the direct link:
//www.snapfiles.com/get/smartrecovery.html
It is designed for flash card recovery and the best part...............it is FREE
