Help! i need some advice on how to edit portraits and smooth the skin and make the eyes stand out a little more...like this photo here:
photo by JeffDay ( titled Allie Color).

so please any advice on that would be greatly apprieciated.
ps. i have photoshop so if you know how to do these things on that editing software that'd be great! thanks!

I really didn't do much in photoshop, all I did was highlight the whites and the blues of her eyes with the paintbrush, set to overlay with opacity at 22% and the flow at 70%.
She has real soft pretty skin so I didn't have to do anything there. I do remember the lighting was lovely late evening, that helps.

okay so i tried and took everyone's advice and here's how my first two turned out...
(keep in mind i am NOT a photoshop professional..haha)
im going to fix the previous one and then repost it.

Not bad!! Not bad at all! I would tone down the whiteness on the kid's eyes juuuuust a hair though. Otherwise, nice edits!! |

Yeah the bottom one is looking good, is that her natural color?
What lenses do you have, you don't have any listed. |

Should be the 18-55mm kit lens unless they were running a special ;) |
