Took some pictures last night of Mars and the Moon side by side. With two cameras the Canon 10D and the Sony F717.
Lens on 10D: EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM.

Hi Ram :)
What are we supposed to be able to tell here?
In other words, what is your interpretation of your tests?
Thanks

In the realm of being able to see Mars and see the Moon clearly. The Canon 10D can pick up Mars at 1/250 sec where the Sony can't. Pretty much the pictures look exactly the same.
At 1/60 sec the Moon becomes a little bit more than a blob of white. The Canon 10D picks up Mars's color a little better. Sony picks up the white of Mars.
At 1/250 sec the Moon has all of it's details with both cameras. |
