This is the number of comments I have made since I joined this site.
529 is the number I have received. Seems "slightly" unbalanced. |

530 now!....No wait 531!!!! A couple of lovely shots.
Just a thought, if you like giving and receiving comments then it may be worth entering one of the side challenges where you tend to get a far more even distribution. Certainly the quality of some of your images are very good and deserve to be seen by more people

5 to 1 is generally average for us average folk.
Posting more pics helps. I'm at 4-1. not because I'm good, but because I posted a bunch of pics and trawled for comments hard for a while... I've had only a handful come in during the time it has taken me to dish out the last 100, but oddly they still keep coming... even more oddly, I seem to keep getting comments on pics which are relatively ancient... heh. I'll eventually get things cleaned up and update.... eventually.
Incidentally, checked my last 50 and 100 comments received and given.
Given: back 50 06-2007. back 100 05-2007.
Received: back 50 09-2006. back 100 06-2006.
Wow. One year for 50 comments received.
Although an interesting experiment might also be: walk around and say hello to people walking along the street or in a mall. You will probably find that a roughly similar number return your hello. I once walked around downtown taipei with a large-ish orange butterfly resting on my hand for 20 minutes and watched people's reactions. About one in four or one in five actually noticed/acknowledged.
