Hi, everyone. I'll be visiting Brattleborough, Vermont, from October 3-10 and wanted to see if anyone can recommend some sites that I must photograph while in the area. I have the AAA guidebooks to the area and will be checking out the favorite sites that they list, but wanted to ask for any places that you guys personally love to shoot. My main goal is to shoot covered bridges, autumn colors and rustic landscapes. Thanks for any recommendations!

I so much envy you LoL :P
That is a beautiful place during this time of the year. Make sure to take that scenic highway that takes you north. Beautiful colors. :)

Couldn't wait another couple weeks, huh? I'm planning on making a whirlwind tour through there the weekend of the 19th-21st. :) |

Thanks, Jaime! Do you know the name of the highway you're talking about? I assume you mean Hwy 7, but there seem to be a few that offer nice north-south trips through park land, so I just thought I'd check to be sure.
And I would love to go shooting up there with you, Alan, so please just come this week. ;-) I wish it weren't so far from California to Vermont, otherwise I'd take you up on it!

well, I live in Williamstown - not far by my standards. Can show you a bunch of places around here - Tannery Falls, Cascade Falls, Natural Bridge, many locales in Pioneer Valley - tunnel, river, rafters, wind turbines, nuke plant, as well as lots on/off Rt 9 between Brattleborough and here. |

Look into highway 100 from woodstock to Stowe. Thats what we took when we drove in the area last year. :)
In stowe, there is a private toll you can take that is completely covered with colored leaves. If you like that sorta thing, I suggest you take it :)

Drive from Brattleboro to Londonderry (the town in Vermont). Be prepared to stop along the way. |
