I have been using Winkflash to print my invitation pictures ... because I can get 5x7" prints for 29 cents each and low cost shipping. I typically print off about 600 pictures which, together with shipping, generally comes to less than $180! A superb deal for my customers.

Well... I have a customer who is a little pickier than usual. She likes the design I've come up with. She wants the pictures to be 5x7" just like I've been doing. But she wants THICKER PAPER for the invitations.

The pictures I've been printing are just regular pictures. So they are flimsy. She wants them printed on card stock so that they are firm.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to print the photos that it won't cost an arm and a leg? She only wants 350. But the few places I've found want $1.50 per invitation (or require that you buy 500).

Thanks....

WHCC has 5x7 flat cards that would be $.63 a piece if you ordered 350. They come in packs of 25 and include envelopes. There's a bit more work to signing up for an account there than at other sites but they're a great company.

Mpix.com has a section of stuff they print on 100# stock called MpixPRESS.

Edit: at ~350 you would pay $0.69 per 5x7 card (non-glossy) link

first, abcphotolab in mystic connecticut is about as cheap as winkflash and TONS better quality and consistency. check them out - if you do a lot you can have an FTP site/account set up - a hell of a lot better than the crappy interface at winkflash.com.

as to cards, overnight prints is fantastic. I'm trying to work a deal with the local hospital to put gift cards and marketing material into every newborn mother's hands - about 100 births a month and no competition on this idea - so I need an affordable way to do this - I want foldable cards like hallmark or the like. Most all labs do them now a days, but at $1 to $1.50 per, well, not economical until i know how this will pay off.

Overnight prints has 500 cards for like $90 and the other things i've had printed there are fantastic, great customer service, and no goofy hidden fees or charges.

I ordered 10 as a test to see the quality and to take a sample to the hospital admin folks. Ordered thursday and in my hands on monday! i ordered 10 and got 14 even.

It's thicker than photopaper (post cards or greeting cards) and the color is great - dead on.

I don't see a 5x7 item, but the large postcards (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) might work - 500 single sided is $74.95 (250 is $69.95)
