I have a list of Art museums that I have collected. No, this is not a "Desk" where the info goes on and on. There is a finite amount of collected info for this thread. It will end.

No this is not the final list, nor are they the world wide list.

This is simply a list of American museums, in American cities, mostly in alphabetical order.

As an artist, and for the the study of art, to help stimulate the right side of the brain, to encourage inspiration, and thought, this thread is for those that may want to experience all aspects of art.

Emulation and inspiration is part of the art experience.

I hope that these museums will visited to help with your art.

Quite a corruption of the Latin source.
Inspirare: To give breath (or life) to (in the sense of giving/bestowing).

- Not exactly secular terminology.

So you are saying that some art doesn't "take your breath away"?

or It's wrong to say that some art is like "the breath of the artist has been bestowed upon the canvas."

The Latin points towards religious origins of art, a view that stands in some contrast with some contemporary takes.

In other words, even the most accomplished artist may have bad breath, but it doesn't matter. People should be curious about his work, not his personal hygene.

Not a corruption of the Latin at all. They both mean pretty much the same thing. inin, into spirare to breathe, halare to breathe (though inhalare means "to breathe upon" but inhale has come to mean "to breathe in" too.)

And don't forget respiration ;-Þ

A good translation would be mindful of context.
