I am looking through every forum for a 400d - that is what I finally settled on and what I think I can afford since I have 4 lenses on my Adorama Wish List!!
I found a Rebel at the Canon forum and am PMing the guy right now.

So, the 40D is fantastic. Biggest noticeable difference when messing about with it is that the shutter sound is a lot different from the 350D. Thunk rather than squeek. Not sure i like it, but the high-speed continuous shooting mode (6 fps) is fantastic.
Off out tonight on a night-shoot around Times Square.

My search has ended.
Bought a 40D today and will have to wait one excruciatingly long week to get it.
Ah, it's good to be back in the Canonian fold :)

I believe you will like it.
And in a year's time, you will be able to find rather affordable 2nd hand 5D's to complement it and then you will be REALLY happy. :) |
