OK, after reading multiple threads on Cannon & Nikon cameras, I took the one advice of going out into the stores and holding each one to see which one 'felt' good... Nikon d50 wins, no contest! I have large hands for a girl and this camera felt ergonomically perfect. Is this a good camera for a first SLR? I'm making a big step from a little EXILIM. |

I love my D50! I still use it all the time and it collects no dust even though I have a D200. I recommend it. :) |

Crap.. seems like it's discontinued?? Can't find it anywhere online *sigh* .. I handled it at Sears here in SF but we are on the move (live on my sailboat) so I wanted to get it from somewhere where I could get the whole package (lenses, accesories, et) all at once. eBay seems to be my only option. ;o/
Why do I always want what is hard to find? |

Congrats! Indeed, the D50 build quality is miles ahead of Canon's rebel series. |
