Just saw this post from  Focuspoint to create teams of opinion friends outside DPC to comment on challenge pictures.
I actually do find this an excellent idea. In a way it's like creating the DPL teams without the DPL.
I post this message in the website suggestion forum because I do think that there would be value to have this within the DPC site. For example, there is the question of control: the DPL teams were limited to 5 people, and they could not vote for one another. Doing this outside of DPC runs the risk that it is not well controlled (certainly no offense meant to focuspoint, on the contrary again I find the idea very interesting).
Furthermore having this on DPC could allow for some nice features such has tracking the average vote of the team (as with DPL) and other fun features to be invented.
It could also be appealing to people like me that won't participate in the DPL because of the pressure to enter every single challenge, while this could be much more laid back.
Anyway, just my 2 cents

| I dropped out of DPL because of the pressure to enter every challenge. I did love the ability to discuss photos privately in a thread hidden from others. I would love to be on an "opinion team" especially if there was a way to give us a hidden thread. |

In the recent Survey, thought was given to that since we where asked about it.
"#10: Would you like to see a separate system, outside of the DPL, that allows for multiple-person collaboration (team mentoring of sorts)?"

good point didn't remember it.
well it seems if it's not implemented within DPC, people will do it outside of DPC! |
