Thanks for posting. Very informative.

By the way, the 1.2 version seems a lot more responsive, and is generally an improvement. However, I just upgraded my system memory to 2GB to accommodate it's thirst for memory (it would eat all that remained of my 1GB and then stall, release memory, and do it all over again); but now it does the same, with 2GB of memory! They have a massive leak.

So it's better, but still broken?

I processed a wedding the other day with nair a stall. 1.2 is considerably more responsive.

I think in the rush to kill Rawshooter, Adobe may have acted a bit prematurely on releasing LR, but it seems to be coming together quickly.

I suspect Adobe needed something to compete with Aperture, so as not to lose ground.

About that memory leak....

Every now and then, LR will just up and "quit" on me. I mean, the think suddenly closes without warning. It has never caused any problems that I can tell (I just re-open and start right back up where I left off). But I've started making it a habit of closing LR and restarting myself every "few hundred images" or so.
