I don't score in challenges that I'm entered into, but I like to spend time commenting. In this challenge, I'm totally at a loss as to what to say for some as I'm not seeing some as "still life" shots and can't even "shoehorn" some of them into that category in my mind. Some are brilliant.....but, for the most part.....I'm having a hard time categorizing in this one. I may just sit this one out until I can figure out how to interpret them. Not that I'm necessarily looking for "traditional"....just that some have totally moving subject, freeze framed and I can't even consider it "still"! LOL
Anyone else finding that?

MY PIECE OF ADVICE: NEVER RUSH AN IMAGE INTO A CHALLENGE TO MAKE UP THE NUMBERS
I am at around 5.8 in this challenge. When I look at the image, I am really kicking myself because it is so below par as an image. I am really lucky to be at 5.8.
I rushed it in. I didn't really look closely at what I had produced. I wanted to be in, because there were not a great deal of entries and thought I would do OK.
Now that I look at it with fresh eyes, it is such a disappointing image, and I am using it to learn a good lesson: I don't HAVE to enter EVERY challenge.
Well done to everyone else, there are some nice images there... |

| Congratulations to all of you! I didn't enter this one - had not an original idea all week. But this is definitely the most enjoyable time I've had voting on a challenge since I joined DPC. The vast majority of the shots are just delightful - so many are excellent quality and very creative (not to mention the several ;-p shots). I found myself giving "bad" shots (only by comparison with the others) 5's and 6's. Wonderful work, everyone! |
