Recently several anti-war groups in Seattle put on a one-day display of the casualties sustained by US Soldiers in Iraq with temporary headstones for each soldier killed. They set it up in the morning and took it all down that same evening, and have been doing this annually in a number of locations around the Seattle area since 2004 I think they said. They also had the names of all the soldiers and asked everyone who came to fill out a card and attach it to one of the markers.
I'm not much for photojournalism, but I hope I succeeded in capturing the scale of what they had set up and the number of casualties.
I'd love some critiques if anyone is willing! |

It is so Sad that there are so many Peices of Card on this Feild, and it would be worth looking beyond the Foam and visualise the Personal Heart Ache that surrounds each individual segment.
How Tragic this episode has been for so many Families.
I am sure the vast majority of members at this site will appreciate how difficult it must have been for those involved, and it is nice to see people in your part of the World have went to so much bother to ensure they are not forgotten.
Cheers.

That's pretty amazing. A sad tribute.
How did you do this photo, by the way?

And I was thinking about the Iraqis who got killed during this war. And the worst is for the Iraqis who are alive, their life is worse than a dead.

It was 8 separate shots taken panning (hand held) from atop a structure on the edge of a field, then stitched with the help of the Panorama Factory (//www.panoramafactory.com/), a piece of software I bought a while back and am in love with. It wasn't perfect on this one since it was a really wide angle, but it wasn't too bad although there was even a bit more to either side which I couldn't capture and still keep the stitching right. |

Yep, looks like they're the walking dead to me.
