I am saving for another camera, but my systems was 10 years old and I it was at the end of its life. It just was not cutting it anymore. Here is what I had.
System Intel Pentium III, 1000 MHz
Memory 511MB RAM maxed
Disk Drives C, E
Video Intel(R) 82815 Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation)
Internet MSIE 7.0; FunWebProducts; .NET CLR 2.0.50727
Windows Windows XP Home SP2
18 gig hard drive
And heres what I got now
System AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+, 2600 MHz
Memory 1918MB RAM up to 4 gig max
Disk Drives C, D
Video NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Internet MSIE 7.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506
Windows Windows Vista Home Premium
500 gig hard drive
Most of the time I could not even do somethings with photos, but now its not a problem. :-)
Only problem I have to figure out is getting my boston digital speakers to work. |

Wow, you held out for a looong time, dude. That's quite an accomplishment.
I thought I was doing a big upgrade from my 1.4Ghz AMD with 512mb RAM and 120gb hard drive to a 2.2Ghz DualCore AMD with 2Gig RAM and 250Gb hard drive.
I've already almost filled that and my external 300Gig up. Time for a new External ;)

Another new toy and did not know it was coming, flew up to Denver to my sis house and we were talking about cameras and when I awoke from my nap, noone was around. So I just watched TV. Later my sis and wife came in from shoping...with a new camera. I was floored. She said happy b-day, but that was last month lol. So my learning curve has changed. Going to set up and read the book tonight. |
