I woudl run away from these - there are a whole load of these posted for both nikons and canon equipment and all appear to be fraudulent. there were a couple of threads about these yesterday.

Ah thank you for that. I've seen a lot of them popping up on Craigslist lately so that's why I asked. Are you familiar with Craigslist? I have emailed asking if I could look at the eqpt. If I don't hear back from them I'll know LOL.

Someone is "borrowing" ads from ebay, and posting them word for work on craigslist around the country for ridiculous prices. Someone else here emailed the poster on one of them, and the guy wanted payment via Western Union before he would ship it "from Italy."

oh wow, well I'm so glad I posted this. I don't want to buy used anyhow and I keep seeing these all over the place so thought I'd throw it out there.

The old motto- if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Fits well here lol.

Well I've learned that the second ad for the Nikon D80 is completely legit. We've been emailing back and forth all day. My husband has been on the phone with the guy as he is military as is hubby. He's even knocking off 100 since we are military. He is taking a check for 50 dollars deposit till hubby's bonus hits the bank.

Not going to buy yet obviously. But I am going to look at it/mess around with all of it next weekend.

So now off to research the lenses some more. Anything is a step up from what I have now lol. Though I LOVE my Oly, the limitations on lenses has finally gotten on my nerves.
